Supporters of clean energy investment were backed by the findings of a 2014 joint federal-provincial panel on the Site C dam project.
The dam has been unpopular with some, and attracted its share of lawsuits, but it's a myth to say the Site C proposal was not appreciated by the federal-provincial panel set up to study it, reporting in 2014. The panel left it to other to make the ultimately political decision whether or not to proceed. When it came to whether the project would create value for money and the lowest emissions, there was no question Site C was favoured by the group.
