Meet Resource Works

We bring people together for a respectful, fact-based dialogue on responsible resource development in British Columbia.

We have a problem...

British Columbia is polarized

  • Resource development and jobs
  • Protecting our environment

Can we have both?

Natural resources are tied to our past - and essential to our future. Resource jobs employ hundreds of thousands of people and drive economic growth. They fund our government programs and support our way of life.

In fact, without natural resources, we'd all be naked.

So why is it so difficult for us to talk about responsible resource development?

It's time for a real conversation.

We are Resource Works

A non-profit research and advocacy organization supporting a respectful, fact-based public dialogue on responsible resource development in B.C.

We aim to:

  • Explore shared values
  • Support responsible
    resource development
  • Balance risk vs. benefits
  • Provide informed perspective
  • Replace myth with fact

What we've been up to

We're proud of the important work being done by our staff and volunteers every day. You may have seen photos of our Natural Runners jogging barely-clothed through the streets of Vancouver. Or maybe you attended our groundbreaking forum, sheTalks Resources, on May 4th. Or perhaps it's our latest research report on First Nations-industry relations that has your attention.

WE’RE PROUD TO WORK WITH A DIVERSE RANGE OF PARTNERS. Here are just a few.
